Driving Directions
From the Smithers or Terrace, BC
(Approximately 8 hours to Dease Lake, BC)
- On Highway 16, drive towards Kitwanga, BC.
- In Kitwanga, turn right on to Highway 37 (Stewart-Cassiar Highway).
- NOTE: In Kitwanga, there is a Petro-Canada, which is open year-round with gas, food, and restrooms. We recommend filling up with gas here.
- Drive along Highway 37 for 153 km until you reach Meziadin-Junction (approx. 2 hrs).
- Turn right at the Junction and continue driving on Highway 37 for 331 km until you reach Dease Lake (approx. 5 hrs)
- Turn left on to Boulder St.
- Turn left into the Northway Motor Inn.
From Whitehorse, YT
(Approximately 8 hours to Dease Lake, BC)
- Get on to the Alaska Highway (Hwy 1)
- Continue driving on the Alaska Highway for 415km (approx. 4.5 hrs)
- In Nugget City, turn right on to the Stewart-Cassiar Highway (Hwy 37).
- Continue driving for 236 km until you reach Dease Lake, BC (approx. 3.5 hrs).
- Turn right on to Boulder St.
- Turn left into the North Motor Inn.
